Overview

The Hinkley 12V LED Frosted Brass Step Light is a low-voltage architectural step light from Hinkley, designed for warm, controlled illumination on stairs, decks, patios, retaining walls, exterior walls, and walkway transitions. Available in Bronze or Matte Bronze, this integrated 12V LED fixture gives installers a durable brass option for outdoor projects that need dependable safety lighting with a clean finished appearance.

The 1546BZ-LL and 1546MZ-LL use a frosted lens to soften the light output, helping reduce glare while clearly marking steps, edges, and changes in elevation. Their brass construction, low-voltage operation, and understated face design make them a strong fit for residential hardscape lighting, deck lighting, and exterior step lighting layouts tied into a compatible transformer.

Why Choose this Hinkley Step Light?

Choose the Hinkley 1546BZ-LL or 1546MZ-LL when the project calls for a brass step light with frosted diffusion, integrated 12V LED performance, and finish options that work well with classic outdoor materials. They give installers a durable low-voltage solution for stairs, decks, walls, and hardscape transitions while giving end users safer movement, softer light, and a finished architectural detail that feels right at home in residential exterior spaces.

Features

This frosted brass step light uses an integrated LED source, reducing maintenance compared with traditional lamp-based step and wall lighting.
The 12V low-voltage design requires a compatible transformer and works well in standard landscape lighting systems.
A frosted lens diffuses the output, producing a softer light effect that helps limit harsh glare on stairs, walls, decks, and walkway edges.
The brass construction provides a durable body for long-term outdoor use in residential and light commercial applications.
The 1546BZ-LL comes in Bronze, while the 1546MZ-LL offers a Matte Bronze finish for projects that need a warmer, softer exterior tone.
Both finish options coordinate well with stone, brick, stucco, wood, composite decking, metal railings, and traditional exterior trim packages.
This fixture is well suited for stair risers, deck steps, patio borders, retaining walls, exterior walls, garden paths, and low-voltage wayfinding applications.
The integrated LED design simplifies specification by removing the need to select a separate lamp, trim, and socket combination.
Its compact face provides practical guidance light for elevation changes and walking paths without the visual bulk of a larger wall-mounted fixture.
The shielded design helps aim light toward the walking surface, improving visibility while keeping direct glare under control.
The 1546BZ-LL and 1546MZ-LL are practical choices for remodels, new outdoor lighting plans, deck upgrades, and hardscape projects where low-voltage wiring is already planned.
Their clean architectural styling allows the fixture to blend into exterior surfaces during the day while providing dependable step and path lighting after dark.
Long-life LED performance helps reduce routine service calls on multi-fixture landscape lighting installations.
The warm bronze finish options make these step lights especially useful where the lighting hardware needs to complement natural exterior materials rather than stand out.
